Back-Bent Ribbon-Leaf Orchid is a miniature sized, tree-dwelling orchid with flattened, grey-green roots which look like leaves. The plant gives rise in the late spring to short, 1 to 2 flowered, glandular velvet-hairy inflorescence with a few distant sheaths and lanceshaped pointed floral bracts with successively single flowers. Flowers are yellowish green, 2.6-4 mm long. Sepals are nearly equal; linear-lanceshaped, 1-nerved, wide spreading, 2-2.6 x 0.6-0.7 mm; dorsal sepal oblong-lanceshaped, slightly reflexed; laterl sepals oblong-lanceshaped, with spreading reflexed tip, inserted on the sides of the lip. Petals are 2.3-2.4 x 0.5-0.6mm, lanceshaped, 1- nerved, spreading. Lip is 1.8-2 x 0.7-0.8 mm, simple, linear-lanceshaped, with a 1 mm long, spherical spur at the base. Back-Bent Ribbon-Leaf Orchid is found in East Himalaya to SE Tibet, at altitudes of 1300-2400 m. Flowering: June-August.
